Nothing uploaded
Compress video without uploading
Shrink videos to a target size with your hardware encoder, right in the browser. No upload, no watermark.
Videos are the worst thing to upload: big, slow and often personal. Online compressors make you wait for the upload, then the processing, then the download.
Capy Files compresses in your browser with the same hardware video encoder that desktop apps use. Pick a target size, such as the limit of an email or a chat app, and it encodes to H.264, HEVC or AV1 on your device.
How it works
- 1
Open Compress video and add a clip.
- 2
Pick a target size or quality.
- 3
Download the smaller video.
Questions
Is it really not uploaded?
Open your browser’s developer tools, go to the Network tab and run the tool. No request carries your file. You can also turn off Wi-Fi after the page has loaded and it keeps working.
How big can the video be?
That depends on your device’s memory more than on us. Long 4K videos work best on a computer.
Is there a watermark?
No.
