These terms apply when you use Capy Files at capyfiles.com, provided by Devinfi OOD (Девинфи ООД) (legal notice).
The service
Capy Files is a set of tools for working with files in your browser. Your files are processed on your own device; we never receive them. You can use the tools without an account.
Your files and your responsibility
You keep all rights to your files and results. Only use files you’re allowed to use, and don’t use the tools to break the law or other people’s rights (for example to remove someone else’s copyright notice or to forge documents). Keep a copy of anything important: processing happens on your device, so we can’t recover a file for you.
How the tools work
We work hard to make every tool correct, but results depend on your files, browser and device. AI tools such as background removal, upscaling, text recognition and transcription can make mistakes; check their results before you rely on them. Redaction removes the marked content from the PDF; still check the output before you share it.
Availability and changes
We may change, add or remove tools. We aim to keep the site available but can’t promise it will always be, for example during maintenance or outages at our hosting provider.
Liability
We are fully liable for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise, for the free service, we are not liable for damage, such as lost files or results, as far as the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.
Open source
The tools are built on open-source software and openly licensed AI models. Their licences are listed on the open-source licences page.
Law and contact
Bulgarian law applies. If you are a consumer in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live. Questions: hello@capyfiles.com.
