About PDF to Word
PDF to Word turns a PDF into an editable Word document (.docx) so you can change the wording, reuse a section or fix a typo without retyping it. It’s handy for an old CV, a contract draft someone only sent as a PDF, or lecture notes you want to rework.
The text on each page is rebuilt into real paragraphs instead of one box per line. Headings are recognised from their size and get Word’s heading styles, so the navigation pane works. Bullet and numbered lists become list items, bold and italic words stay bold and italic, and words split with a hyphen at the end of a line are joined again. Each PDF page starts a new page in Word.
This converter is in beta. Tables, multi-column layouts and pictures inside text pages don’t come across yet. Scanned pages have no text to rebuild, so they go in as a picture of the page; run the PDF through OCR first if you need that text editable. The conversion happens on your device, so the PDF is never uploaded.
Questions
Will the Word file look exactly like the PDF?
Not exactly. You get clean, editable text with headings, lists, bold and italic. Exact positions, tables and columns aren’t copied yet.
Can I convert a scanned PDF to Word?
Scanned pages are added as pictures. To get editable text from them, run the PDF through OCR first, then convert it.
Does it work with Google Docs and LibreOffice?
Yes. The .docx opens in Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice and Pages.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The PDF is read and the Word file is built in your browser.
