Nothing uploaded
Remove photo metadata without uploading
Strip GPS location, camera details and other EXIF data from photos in your browser before you share them.
Photos carry hidden data: where they were taken, when, and with which device. Sending a photo to a metadata remover means handing that data to one more server first.
Capy Files removes EXIF, GPS and other metadata on your device, then gives you clean copies to share. It is a sensible last step before posting photos or sending them to someone you don’t know.
How it works
- 1
Open Remove metadata and add photos.
- 2
See what each photo contains.
- 3
Download clean copies.
Questions
Is it really not uploaded?
Open your browser’s developer tools, go to the Network tab and run the tool. No request carries your file. You can also turn off Wi-Fi after the page has loaded and it keeps working.
Does it change the picture?
No. Only the hidden data is removed.
What about PDFs?
Use PDF metadata to view and clear the author, title and other document info.
