Tax returns, medical letters and insurance claims carry the most sensitive details you have: ID and account numbers, diagnoses, income. Those are exactly the files an online merge tool asks you to upload to its server first.
Capy Files merges them inside your browser with pdf-lib, an open-source PDF library. The page loads its code from capyfiles.com only, its security policy stops it from sending data to any other site, and there are no third-party scripts, trackers or ad tags on tool pages. The files stay in your device’s memory and the merged PDF is saved straight to your downloads.
You don’t have to take that on trust. Load the page, turn off Wi-Fi, and merge. If it works with no connection, nothing could have been sent. For the most sensitive files, use a private window with browser extensions switched off, the same advice that applies to any website.

How it works
- Open Merge PDF, then turn off Wi-Fi or unplug the cable.
- Add your tax or medical PDFs and photos, and drag them into order.
- Download one combined PDF, then turn your connection back on.
Why you can trust it
No third-party scripts
Tool pages load code from capyfiles.com only. Your browser blocks everything else.
No trackers or ad tags
Nothing on a tool page reports what you open, and nothing about your files is ever sent.
Works with Wi-Fi off
Once the page has loaded, turn off your connection. The tools keep working.
Check it in 30 seconds
Open the Network tab in developer tools and run a tool. No request carries your file.
Questions
Is it really not uploaded?
Open your browser’s developer tools, go to the Network tab and run the tool. No request carries your file. You can also turn off Wi-Fi after the page has loaded and it keeps working.
What if someone changed the code on the server?
Tool pages have a strict security policy that only allows connections back to capyfiles.com, and there are no outside scripts or CDNs that could be swapped. The offline test still works as a check: with no connection, there is nowhere for a file to go.
Can browser extensions see my files?
An extension with access to every site can read what any page shows, on any website. For very sensitive files, open Capy Files in a private window, where most browsers turn extensions off by default.
Is there analytics on the page?
There are no third-party analytics, trackers or ad tags on tool pages. Nothing about your files, their names or their contents is ever sent.
Can I add scanned photos of letters?
Yes. JPG, PNG and HEIC photos become PDF pages in the order you set, so a phone photo of a letter fits right in.
